Sea Ventures Requirements for Discover Scuba
1) You must be 10 years of age or older
2) You need to be able to swim well enough to be able to get back and forth easily from the boat to the dive site on the surface of the water, so about 15 ft each way. You also need to be able to maneuver your body while under water to propel and direct yourself while viewing the reef.
3) You must be in good health (if you have high blood pressure, heart condition, diabetes, asthma, epilepsy, recent surgeries etc… you will need to visit your doctor to get a waiver). Here is a link to the waiver you must sign before taking the Discover Scuba Course. Please download it before arriving at our dive shop if possible.
4) You cannot dive and fly on the same day: you will need 18 hours from your last dive (approx 11:45 AM) to the time your flight takes off.
Our Discover Scuba Dives leave out of Fajardo where we have many dive sites in the 15 to 40 ft range, they are all just offshore the Cordillera reef system which consist of a chain of little coral island atolls that has lots of hard and soft corals and plenty of sea life ringing around the reef system.
